‘Angry’ Prince William ‘outraged’ by Harry’s ‘PR’ stunt trip to visit King Charles: expert

Prince William is “upset” by his brother Prince Harry’s brief trans-Atlantic dash to see his cancer-stricken father King Charles, according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex’s blink-and-you-miss-it trip to London last week saw him spend a total of 24 hours on home soil, less than an hour of which was spent with his ailing father.

And according to royal expert and author Ingrid Seward, the Prince of Wales, 41, calls Harry’s trip a “PR opportunity” and has “absolutely no interest” in a settlement.

Seward told The Sun: “William will be upset that Harry has chosen to make this visit to see his father again as a PR opportunity.”

“As for William, he has absolutely no interest in talking to Harry until he behaves like a gentleman and apologizes for years of rudeness and insults aimed at William and the Princess of Wales.”

Seward said the heir to the throne “must be privately furious” that Harry used his trip “as an opportunity to announce his arrival and expect to see William,” she claims.

The royal author, who penned the 2003 biography “William and Harry,” added that the trip proved the father-of-two still clings to his “impulsive” nature, arguing that he “should have waited a week or two” before visiting. “. .

The Post has reached out to Kensington Palace for comment.

It is believed that Harry did not see his estranged brother during his quick stint in England, nor his sister-in-law Kate Middleton, who is currently recovering from her recent stomach surgery.

King Charles’s cancer diagnosis

  • King Charles III has been diagnosed with cancer less than 15 months after ascending to the throne.
  • The shocking development came just a week after the 75-year-old king was discharged from hospital following treatment for an enlarged prostate.
  • His estranged son Prince Harry flew to the UK to see his father on Tuesday, returning to California 24 hours later.
  • Prince Harry still hasn’t spoken to Prince William on the heels of his father King Charles’ cancer diagnosis – but the shock news could force the estranged siblings into an uneasy truce, sources say.
  • Kensington Palace did not specify when the monarch is expected to return to her royal duties, as all her public activities have been put on hold.

Sources close to Harry said he would have “welcomed” the chance to see his brother, although it is understood the opportunity did not arise.

The day after Harry landed in the UK, he was already flying back to Montecito, California to reunite with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two children.

Harry is reported to have stayed at a luxury hotel in London during his one-night getaway, rather than staying with family at one of their many royal residences across the country.

According to Charles’ former butler Grant Harold, the Duke decided to stay at the hotel to show the royal family that he was able to “support himself” financially.
