what to know

The Chiefs and Bills are 4-4 against each other since November 2015, but likely not for long. On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs will square off against the Buffalo Bills in an AFC playoff contest at 6:30 PM ET at Highmark Stadium. Each of these teams will struggle to keep their winning streak going as the Chiefs come in at three and the Bills at six.

A well-balanced attack led Kansas City to victory over Miami in every quarter on its way to victory last Saturday. The Chiefs were clear winners over the Dolphins by a margin of 26–7.

The Chiefs’ success was driven by the efforts of Rashee Rice, who picked up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown, and Patrick Mahomes, who threw for 262 yards and a touchdown. Harrison Butker did his part by putting the ‘special’ on special teams, kicking four field goals and two extra points.

Meanwhile, Buffalo takes care of business in its home opener on Monday. They enjoyed an easy 31–17 victory over the Steelers.

Among the leaders was Josh Allen, who threw for 203 yards and three touchdowns, and also scored a touchdown on the ground. He was also active on the field: one of his best games was a 52 yard sprint for a TD in the second quarter.

Kansas City has been playing great lately: they have won four of their last five games, giving them a nice 11-6 record this season. As for Buffalo, they pushed their record to 11–6 with that win, their fourth consecutive win at home.

The Chiefs are expected to surpass the odds on Sunday, as experts believe they are headed for a loss. It might be worth placing a quick bet on them as they have covered the spread the last three times they have played.

According to the latest NFL odds, Buffalo is a slight 2.5-point favorite against Kansas City.

The oddsmakers were right in line with the betting community on this one, as the game started as a 2.5-point spread, and stayed there.
