LONDON, ENGLAND: Season 1 of “Criminal Record” is drawing praise from critics and viewers alike, sparking excitement for a potential season 2 in the future. Although there is no official confirmation, Peter Capaldi has hinted at the possibility of a season renewal.

“Criminal Record” is set in London and features two detectives embroiled in a high-profile murder case. Detective Chief Inspector Daniel Hegarty (Peter Capaldi) has years of experience and excellent connections.

Speaking on “Criminal Record” Season 2, Capaldi himself made it clear that there are still many possibilities for the future.

“Who knows? We’re just thrilled to have made it and that it’s available, it’s been a real journey to bring it to the screen. Working with Apple has been great, but it’s a whole new world… When I worked with the BBC or ITV, a show could be sold to Australia or Hong Kong or wherever,” he said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

He also added: “Now Apple just presses a button and 130 countries around the world get to see the show. Immediately. That’s a whole different ball game for me. But I’m delighted, at my age, to still be part of it.
