‘Cringe’: ‘The Bachelorette’ season 21 fans call out contestants for ridiculous costumes on ABC show

SANTA SUSANA, CALIFORNIA: In the premiere episode of “The Bachelorette” Season 21, viewers were introduced to Jenn Tran’s suitors in a memorable way. One contestant, Jonathan Johnson, made a dramatic entrance wearing nothing but a hospital gown, lying on a stretcher with a bandage on his face.

In addition, Brendan Barnum caught attention by walking in eating two habanero peppers, showing his love for spicy food. Meanwhile, Hakeem Moulton made a memorable entrance with balloons tied to his chest.

Hakeem told Jenn that the balloons represented how he felt when he found out she was the bachelor, saying he was “on cloud nine.” However, the audience criticizes the contestants for exposing their ankles and for not wearing bottoms that fully cover them.

On X, one fan wrote, “Watching some of these entrances is aggravating. Hospital gown showing your bare butt and talking about your ‘big’ p***. Jenn is a LADY, these dudes need to respect her more.”
