Darren Till’s Boxing Debut Ends Just Like His UFC Career

Darren Till’s boxing debut didn’t even come close to the way he would have expected. The former UFC welterweight title challenger competed in his first boxing fight on the undercard of Social Knockout 3 in Dubai, UAE against Mohammad Mutie. However, what followed was an ugly brawl after a controversial stoppage in the second round.

In the second round, Till landed a pair of shots to the back of the head, after which the fight was stopped when his opponent was unable to continue the fight. Upon further evaluation, a TKO victory was awarded to Till which obviously left Mutie furious at the decision. In the verbal banter that followed, it only took a minute for the chaos to turn into a brawl.

Both corners tangled, and at one point, Mutos even took down the UFC veteran. Needless to say, the fans sent scathing comments on social media reacting to the whole incident, that one fell in the ring in his boxing debut did not go unnoticed.

The reactions coming from MMA fans were hilarious to say the least as they pointed out Till’s inability to stop a boxer’s takedown.

Taking derision at his recent run in the UFC, fans didn’t hold back in criticizing Till’s poor defense. The British fighter has lost each of his last three outings inside the UFC Octagon, and two of those losses have come by way of submission.

Shortly after the fight, Till put out a call in his post-fight interview and expressed his desire to face the likes of Jake Paul, Tommy Fury, and Mike Perry as he looks to make a name for himself in boxing.
