ONE’s lightweight MMA division has taken on a different complexion in the absence of two-weight World Champion Christian Lee, and at ONE Fight Night 23 on Prime Video, the division’s interim belt will find its owner for the time being.

In the July 5 main event, former lightweight MMA king Ok Rae Yoon takes on undefeated Dagestan-born Turkish standout Alibeg Rasulov for the ONE Interim Lightweight MMA World Title. The intriguing clash of styles takes place at the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ok has been craving a third crack at Lee since his streak-level TKO loss to “The Warrior” in 2022.
Having successfully bounced back from the loss, the South Korean superstar sees Alibeg as the perfect springboard to his ultimate goal.

“I must admit that I see this fight as a direct path to face Christian again. I sometimes think more about him than my next opponent. Of course, I fully understand that Alibeg is a powerful and formidable opponent, but I do think about my desire to fight Christian again.” he said.

“For that to happen, I need a good reason, and that would be beating a 14-0 fighter in Alibeg. I am studying Alibego carefully and preparing for him accordingly.”

With wrestling skills forged in the mountains of Dagestan, on the other hand, Rasulov looms large on the lightweight MMA landscape.

The 31-year-old comes to ONE with a perfect 14-0 professional record and he plans to capture the interim division crown for himself in his promotional debut.

In the co-headline, ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion Tye Ruotolo takes on highly anticipated promotional newcomer Jozef Chen in a 186-pound non-title catchweight submission grappling contest.
