Fans judge best dressed WTA star Ft. Iga Switek, Naomi Osaka, Coco Goff at Doha

The 2024 WTA season is on a tight schedule, as nine events have taken place in the first month. In February, three events started simultaneously. This season is the only month with two WTA 500 and 1000 events. The players will now spend about three weeks in the Middle East. Iga Switek, Naomi Osaka, Coco Goff and other players have arrived in Doha.

The top players on the WTA Tour arrived in grand fashion for the Qatar Open. Fans were surprised to see their favorite players dressed up on the opening day of the event. “Donna chewed them up,” A fan commented after seeing Donna Vecic in her red suit at Doha. She wore a tennis suit and posted a story about it on her Instagram handle.

A fan complimented Switek’s dress in Doha and commented, “Classic Iga is my favorite.” Another fan spotted Osaka as the best dressed player at the party. “Osaka looks the best,” Fans of the young stars commented. But Vekic stole the show among his teammates at Doha.

Switek was seen wearing a Magda Butrim FW23 mock neck stretch viscose midi dress with a ruched bodice and back hem slit. Meanwhile, Osaka was spotted with Plates Please by Issey Miyake “basic” Wide mock neck polyester pleated tank and pleats polyester pleated midi skirt with back slit. Fans enjoyed the opening day of the event, as the matches have also started at Doha.

Iga Switek hopes to complete a hat-trick at Doha

The previous two editions of the Qatar Open in singles and doubles have seen a similar loss of winners. Switek is the two-time defending champion at Doha. The world No. 1 has dropped just one set in the last two editions while winning the trophy. She played just three matches last year, as Swytek was given a bye in the opening round and received a walkover in the quarterfinals.

The 22-year-old made her debut at the Qatar Open in 2020, where she lost to Svetlana Kuznetsova in the third round. This year, Swytek received a bye in the opening round and will face either Sloane Stephens or Sorana Cirstea in a third-round match. She may also face Jelena Ostapenko in the quarterfinals, as it will be a tough test on the hardcourts.

Switek will have a day to settle in Doha. She has won seven matches this year and lost in the third round of the Australian Open. The Polish player is looking for his first title of the season. Switek will look to start his title defense with a bang. She has a perfect record at Doha and will be keen to continue her winning streak at the event this year.
