Mauricio Umansky responds to niece Paris Hilton slamming him for saying ‘negative’ things about her father

Mauricio Umansky addressed niece Paris Hilton’s cruel comments after the real estate mogul recently came to terms with her father, Rick Hilton, on an episode of “Buying Beverly Hills.”

“Look, it’s sad that he got so upset about it, but at the end of the day, two businessmen are making two business decisions,” he told “Entertainment Tonight” in a new interview.

“I felt I deserved something. I wanted something, he didn’t want to do it, and then I chose to go on my own,” he went on to refer to his past beef with estranged wife Kyle Richards’ brother-in-law.

“I wanted to take care of my family, I wanted to be successful, I wanted to move forward, I wanted to do as much as I could, and at the end of the day, I decided to move forward with this thing. . . . There’s definitely no bad blood on my part.”

Her comments come a week after the 43-year-old “Simple Life” alum took to social media to roast her uncle.

“My father is a perfect gentleman and has always taken the high road. He would never say anything negative about his family — especially in the press,” she wrote earlier this month.

“Frankly we’re all sick of Hilton using his name to plug his lame show. That’s enough already.”

In the original clip, Umansky, 53, discusses the fallout he experienced after leaving the Hilton & Highland real estate agency a decade ago.

“I feel like I got kind of f–ked out of Hilton and Hyland,” the reality star said in a preview for her Netflix show.

“And when I say f–ked, you know, like, I’m happy today, but Hilton and Highland had a hundred agents,” he continued. “They did a billion dollars a year for the first time. I was 19.6 percent of their production.”

Umansky recalls wanting to become a partner because of his huge contributions to the agency, but when he asked Rick for equity in the business, he was turned down.

In 2011 she founded her own company, The Agency, which follows “Buing Beverly Hills”.

He also addressed how his departure from the firm affected Richards, who is the sister of Kathy Hilton, Rick’s wife of more than four decades.

“You know, his family stopped talking to him,” she said of Richards, from whom she split in 2023.

“But she understood that what was done to me was wrong and she stood by me and at the end of the day, I needed that.”
