Later in the show, it is shown that Charlie is still dealing with the after effects of the shooting, as she holds herself responsible for murdering someone.

Another PTSD-related incident occurs when, at the playground, Charlie remembers shooting the henchman and then pushing a child off the playground equipment. When a police officer comes, Charlie uses her phone to confess that she murdered someone.

Tina (Eva Everett Irving) quickly intervenes, stating that Charlie blames himself for the death of his hamster which prompts the officer to let them go.

Later, Jack encourages Charlie to seek closure, which she does after apologizing to the dead, giving her a sense of closure.

Charlie may feel satisfied after her end, but the episode also shows the Head of Corporate Security Tom ( Reed Diamond ), and his assistant Emily ( Tattiawna Jones ) discussing the height of the killer.

While Tom is determined to implicate Lucy in the crime, Emily believes that the murder was committed by a young man.

On the surface, this subplot may seem like nothing special, but it’s worth noting that Lucy set out on a mission to poke her head into her past to ensure Charlie and Jack’s safety.

If it is discovered that Charlie committed the murder, the cunning Tom can use this information against Lucy to lure her into his trap and eventually prove that she is actually violent, which could lead to Lucy’s elimination.

Based on how much Lucy cares about Charlie, it’s possible that she’ll accept responsibility and turn herself in to the Attachment Foundation.

On the other hand, Charlie may be buried in guilt again, blaming himself for Lucy’s problems.

Overall, given the current circumstances, it is realistic to predict that Charlie’s journey ahead is not as rosy as she hopes after her closure.
