All eyes are currently on Team USA and the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, which will take place later this month. The entire squad is currently working together in Las Vegas before heading out to France and various other European countries where the games will take place. As Team USA prepares, another unit has attracted a lot of attention, Cooper Flagg.

The 17-year-old is the top recruit in the country and he will compete for the Duke Blue Devils after graduating from high school. Videos of Flagg working with all the veterans on the US team went viral. At some point during their recent scrimmage, Flagg hit a three-pointer over Anthony Davis, a top-five defender in the NBA.

While fans were tearing down Team USA’s work, Cooper Flagg certainly caught their attention quite a bit. Fans are excited to see how well he’ll do in college just because of how easily he’s been able to adjust to playing with the pros. One fan said, “Flagg was there cooking fr.” Another fan said, “Cooper looks great here.”

Flagg considers this opportunity to work with Team USA a blessing. he said, β€œThe opportunity, it was great. It was a blessing to be here. I think just the physicality and just the level of where I want to get to, there’s a lot to improve, a lot where I have to keep improving. This showed how big the details are.”

Flagg’s time at Montverde Academy showed that he can play extremely well on both sides of the floor. He averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.6 steals, and 2.7 blocks per game as a senior.

NBA Coach believes Cooper Flagg has huge potential

Cooper Flagg just earned himself an easy pass into NBA stardom simply by putting on a show during practice with Team USA which is coached by Steve Kerr, Ty Lue, and Erik Spoelstra. Jamahl Mosley of the Orlando Magic was also in attendance in Las Vegas and he spoke briefly about Flagg’s potential.

he said, β€œHe kicked butt here. There is a respect factor for what he did. People who haven’t seen him play, when he gets into the game, they quickly see what he can do.”

Even Kevin Durant was impressed by Flagg’s performance. He claimed that the teenager plays like a veteran star, with no emotion but only eyes for the game. Devin Booker and Jaime Jaquez Jr. there were a few others who liked Flagg’s game.
