ROSS-SHIRE, SCOTLAND: Peacock’s reality TV hit ‘The Traitors’ grabbed attention in January 2023, earning a quick renewal for a second season thanks to its strategy Scotland sensations hosted by Alan Cumming .

On December 14, the first trailer and start date for season 2 were revealed. Alan featured “higher stakes” and “devilish twists” in the second season, in which celebrities compete for the $250,000 top prize.

What is the format of season 2 of “The Traitors”?

Host Allan Cumming mentioned in the teaser that “The Traitors” season 2 is about “Strategy, betrayal, sabotage and murder.”

Set in the picturesque setting of Andross Castle, nestled in the Scottish Highlands, the cast goes on a mission to find out who is the caterer and who is not.

A group of contestants (reality TV stars) will enter Andross’ Scottish mansion, where a group will be labeled “traitors”. Survivors will be labeled “loyal”.

Each week, traitors will have the opportunity to “assassinate” one of their comrades, thus eliminating them from the game. The remaining participants will then vote at the end of each week to “ban” one of the other players in an attempt to eliminate a traitor.

Throughout the process, the group will accumulate a stash of monetary rewards through tasks. If the Faithful have eliminated all the traitors at the end of the game, they will share the prize pool, but if there is one traitor remaining, they will win the entire pot.
