UFC 297 start time – Sean Strickland vs. Darius du Plessis: Live stream, PPV price, prelims, TV channel

It’s time to settle some bad expenses. Or maybe, the beginning of a new friendship? UFC 297 is set for Saturday night in Toronto, with middleweight champion Sean Strickland beginning his reign against Darius du Plessis.

There was a heated exchange between the two at the inaugural press conference in December. But as the fight approaches, the tone has changed. Strickland and du Plessis said at media day that the two spoke on social media and agreed not to mention Strickland’s upbringing in the buildup. Now, both have said they will simply bring war to each other when the Octagon doors close on Saturday night.

The co-main event sees another title fight as Raquel Pennington takes on Mayra Bueno Silva for the vacant women’s bantamweight crown. The championship has been vacant since Amanda Nunes announced her retirement following her title defense win over Irene Aldana last year.

Elsewhere, rising Canadian contender Mike Malott returns to action as he takes on veteran Neil Magny. Malott has won six in a row, including his first three Octagon appearances, but Magny represents his toughest test yet. Plus, more Canadians help fill out the undercard, including Marc-Andre Barriault as he takes on Chris Curtis in a middleweight showdown. And in the prelims, Charles Jourdan takes on Shawn Woodson in a featherweight tilt.
