Vanessa Hudgens confirms she gave birth to first baby: “Mom, dad and baby are healthy and happy”

Vanessa Hudgens has officially confirmed that she welcomed her first child with husband Cole Tucker.

“Mom, dad and baby are healthy and happy,” the “High School Musical” star, 35, wrote in part via her Instagram stories on Thursday.

The update came one day after the actress was spotted leaving a California hospital in a wheelchair with her little bundle of joy cradled in her arms.

The gender of their child and exact date of birth have not been revealed yet.

As previously reported, Hudgens announced her pregnancy while making a statement on the red carpet for the 2024 Oscars in March.

The Hollywood starlet donned a curve-hugging dress that highlighted her pregnant belly at the time.

Hudgens’ debut came more than three months after she and Tucker, 28, tied the knot in Tulum, Mexico, with 100 family and friends in attendance.

The “Spring Breakers” star has kept her pregnancy relatively quiet, though she has posted the occasional update on social media.

She also previously expressed her frustration when fans speculated that she was pregnant even before she married the MLB player in December 2023.

“I literally just had an encounter with the public taking control over their opinion of me in a way that was disrespectful,” she said on a March episode of the “She Pivots” podcast.

“I went out on my bachelorette party in October and I posted a video of myself, and there are all these comments that are like, ‘Oh my god, you’re pregnant.’

Just a few weeks before Hudgens gave birth, her ex and former co-star, Zac Efron, gushed that she would be the “best mom ever” while speaking to Access Hollywood.

The couple dated at the height of their Disney fame but split in 2010 after about three years together.
