Why ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 3 subplots cast shadows on Mike’s family

KINGSTOWN, MICHIGAN: “Mayor of Kingstown” Season 3 generated significant buzz due to its intense plot and character development.

The plot for Season 3 dives deeper into the power struggles and criminal underworld of Kingstown. “Mayor of Kingstown” Season 3 presents various subplots that enrich the story and provide a deeper understanding of the characters and the dynamics of the city.

However, it’s been 5 episodes, and the show still doesn’t know what to do with Kyle McLusky (Taylor Handley) and Tracy (Nishi Munshi). While Kyle got a career change, Tracy wasn’t seen much.

What will “Mayor of Kingstown” Season 3 do with Kyle and Tracy’s subplots?

The main focus of the show could be in the central plot revolving around Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) and the complex dynamics of the criminal and political landscape of Kingstown. As a result, Tracy may not receive as much attention or development in the series.

Noticing a pattern in the show, female characters are often given less importance than male characters. Additionally, a significant number of female characters are subjected to fatal outcomes or untimely deaths as part of the story.

Despite Kyle and Tracy recently becoming parents, viewers have only caught fleeting glimpses of their family life. The show has yet to fully explore how they navigate the challenges of parenthood amidst the tumultuous environment of Kingstown.

In “Mayor of Kingstown” Season 3 Episode 6, it seems that Kyle and Tracy can be used as tools to provoke Mike in facing his opponents. Given the premise of Episode 6, which suggests that Mike may be facing an imminent threat, there is a strong possibility that his enemies could be targeting his brother Kyle to provoke a reaction.

If something happens to Tracy and her baby, it would probably act as a direct trigger for Mike to face the two new enemies: Konstantin (Yorick van Wageningen) and Merle Callahan (Richard Brake).

Based on the pattern observed in the show, it seems likely that Tracy may meet a tragic end while Kyle and the baby survive. Kyle’s recent entry into the SWAT team makes it unlikely that the show will eliminate his character.

How would Tracy’s death affect Mike McLusky?

Since the beginning of “Mayor of Kingstown” Season 1, Mike has been known for his drive to fix problems and keep people safe in Kingstown. Whether it’s managing the complex dynamics of the city’s criminal underbelly or protecting his family and allies, Mike always tries his best to fix everything.

However, Mike tends to react after things have happened rather than proactively anticipating and preventing them. If Tracy is killed just like his mother, Mike would probably be consumed by a desire for revenge against Konstantin and Merle.

He would seek help from Ian Ferguson (Hugh Dillon) and Iris (Emma Laird), and work tirelessly to gather evidence of how their drug dealing is affecting Kingstown. Ultimately, he would collect enough evidence to expose their operations.

With Bunny’s assistance, Mike would strategically dismantle their business operations, targeting their key assets and networks. By systematically dismantling their operations, Mike is able to restore order and stability to the city’s troubled streets.
